STOCKHOLM – Aqvify (aqvify.com), is a Swedish company with a unique product to give its customers full control over water supply, water level, groundwater level, water consumption and water inflow in drinking water wells. The measurement data is presented in an easy-to-understand format via an app. 

Aqvify – an IoT solution created by Rikard Tidala. The company has previously raised capital from the entrepreneurs behind Acast, Adlibris, Indoor Energy and Apotea – and now also Rugvista. The capital will be used to expand sales abroad and further develop the product.

Aqvify’s smart solution gives users full control over how much water is in their drinking water wells, so they don’t have to worry about things like saltwater intrusion or suddenly running out of water. Aqvify enables sustainable and safe water use for individuals, communities and agriculture.

This is how the Swedish IoT invention Aqvify works: A sensor is placed in the drinking water well and then continuously sends measurement data over the mobile network. Aqvify then processes the data and gives users an instant status of the well via the Aqvify app.

Ludvig Friberger is one of the founders and former CEO of the listed Rugvista, which today is one of Europe’s leading online carpet retailers. Ludvig has subsequently founded, invested in and worked at board level as well as with software and business process development in several cleantech and e-commerce companies, such as Care of Carl, SolNord, Institutet för solenergikvalitet and Recoma.

Ludvig Friberger now also takes a seat on the board of Aqvify.

• I have a great interest in companies in sustainability and especially those with completely new unique products – just like Aqvify. It actually started when I installed Aqvify in my own well where we live in Österlen, southern Sweden, and quickly realized what a fantastic security it is to keep track of your water resource. The product worked perfectly from the first moment and I realized what a big market there is even outside Sweden, says Ludvig Friberger.
